“It’s the same here,” Bai Xingluo said as he pulled Tong Sui slightly forward. “My furniture is all matching and of high quality. Would you like to give it a try?”
Tong Sui could not argue with him and had to compromise.
“…Alright, I’ll give it a try.”
Bai Xingluo’s palm rested against the clean bookshelf.
The veins on the back of his hand slightly bulged from the pressure, and the glass of the bookshelf fogged up from the warmth of his hand.
“What did you and Lu Yunyi talk about alone? Is he still obsessing over you?”
“We didn’t say much.”
“Really?” Bai Xingluo looked at him, gently brushing away the beads of moisture from his eyelashes. “You avoid looking at me when you lie.”
Xie Feibai knocked on Bai Xingluo’s office door while holding a document.
After a moment of silence, there was no response.
“Hm?”
Xie Feibai scratched his head in confusion; he distinctly heard they said the general was here.
He raised his hand and knocked again.
However, behind the wall, neither Tong Sui nor Bai Xingluo had the time to open the door.
Tong Sui looked at the sliver of light blocked by the door, feeling somewhat anxious and somewhat distracted.
Bai Xingluo said, “Don’t worry, he can’t get in. Plus, the soundproofing of this door is quite good; he can’t hear us inside.”
Tong Sui replied softly, but his body remained tense.
He was still very nervous.
Bai Xingluo could only send a simple message to Xie Feibai through his holographic device with just three words:
“Not convenient.”
After reading the message, Xie Feibai understood immediately.
As the shadow under the door faded, Bai Xingluo’s finger gently pressed against Tong Sui’s chin. “Alright, he’s gone. Let’s continue.”
The night was deep, and the lights in the office were turned on.
Tong Sui stared dazedly at the lamp, with droplets of moisture still clinging to his eyelashes, which Bai Xingluo kissed away with his soft lips.
Tong Sui’s eyelashes trembled slightly as he slowly lowered his head to look at him.
Despite having done this many times, he still felt a bit unfamiliar each time.
Bai Xingluo pursued him with a demeanor completely different from usual, as if he wished to savor every inch of Tong Sui’s skin and bones.
While Tong Sui was lost in thought, Bai Xingluo skillfully adjusted his clothes, trying to smooth out the creases. Yet, the long-time wrinkling had left deep imprints.
“Luo Luo, let’s go somewhere tomorrow.”
“Where?”
“You’ll find out tomorrow; it’s a surprise.”
Bai Xingluo’s gaze was steady as he straightened up.
He blocked the light in front of Tong Sui, his broad shoulders casting a shadow over him.
This twilight look was something Tong Sui had seen many times before.
As expected, in the next moment, his soft lips pressed against Tong Sui’s once again.
It felt like he could never kiss enough, pouring all his affection and warmth into this kiss, feeding it slowly to Tong Sui.
The kiss nearly made Tong Sui slide off the table until that hand tightly gripped his waist, only releasing him when he was almost breathless.
Bai Xingluo’s voice was especially obscure yet contained a hint of mirth, “You tell me now, I’ve been looking forward to this moment.”
“You shouldn’t expect too much,”
Tong Sui said, his voice still a bit unstable, resting his forehead against his chest, breathing out warm air that carried a faint sweetness. He whispered, “The greater the expectation, the greater the disappointment.”
“I’ll be happy with whatever you prepare for me,” Bai Xingluo replied. “You must be tired. Once the document is delivered, we can go home.”
“Mm…”
Xie Feibai was called over by Bai Xingluo’s notification.
Holding the document, he spotted Bai Xingluo standing at the office door from afar.
“General, here.”
As Bai Xingluo received the document, Xie Feibai quietly assessed him.
Although he appeared cold and distant at first glance, upon closer inspection, one could see the corners of his mouth subtly turning upwards, and his silver hair seemed even glossier than usual.
Is this the charm of a dominant male?
While Bai Xingluo was reviewing the document, Xie Feibai noticed a fresh bite mark.
It was a small round mark located close to the artery on his neck, clearly made with some effort, almost as if someone had tried hard to cover it up.
Xie Feibai couldn’t help but glance at the adjacent office; the main door was closed, but that person must still be waiting inside for the general to return.
Bai Xingluo quickly skimmed through the document and closed it. “I’ll take this back; I won’t be in tomorrow.”
“Oh right, General, I have one more thing.” Xie Feibai said. “I’d like to take a day off tomorrow.”
Bai Xingluo asked, “What happened?”
Xie Feibai awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. “Nothing; seeing you happy made me want to go on a blind date.”
Bai Xingluo nodded.
“Alright, granted.”
Xie Feibai’s eyes sparkled with joy as he excitedly gave a military salute. “Thank you, General! I’ll head off now!”
Bai Xingluo smiled at his enthusiasm and walked back into the office holding the document.
Tong Sui was currently discussing with the system in his mind.
Tong Sui: “What kind of place is suitable for a celebration date that Luo Luo would like? A restaurant? An amusement park?”
System: [Those two places should be what you’d like, right?]
Tong Sui: “…Do you have any good suggestions?”
System: [For the task target, booking a big bed room would probably make him the happiest; at worst, I’ll just have to look at pixelated images for another day.]
Tong Sui: “…”
Although the system’s words were a bit blunt, they indeed made some sense.
He opened his holographic device and began searching for hotels.
After the system upgrade, it was filled with learning materials and eagerly volunteered: [Let me handle the arrangements, host!]
